Arts & Culture
“Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit” – Jawaharlal Nehru
Cultural adventures offer you the opportunity to encounter fascinating local cultural experiences – to get a glimpse back in time by learning about the history of a place or area, listen to the stories of the people that came before, and the people that are there now, view the architecture of bygone years, and get an up close and personal introduction to the many towns, places, and faces that make the Bergrivier region so wonderful and unique.
Whether it is trawling through beautiful old churches with their graveyards that tell a rich story, visiting museums with their display cases packed full of priceless memorabilia, doing a guided historic tour with local insights you won’t hear anywhere else, visiting galleries with walls festooned with the work of local artists, or marvelling at exceptional heritage sites – cultural adventures offer genuine local experiences that are the perfect additive to a truly memorable holiday.
