Set on the banks of the Berg River in Velddrif, the Riverhouse offers luxury West Coast accommodation for up to six guests.

Velddrif, which started off as a small fishing community, is a popular destination for family holidays, fishing trips, water sport events and much more.

Just off the Riverhouse’s veranda, you’ll find the Laaiplek slipway, where locals launch their fishing boats and often return from sea with hulls filled to brim with the day’s catch.

The West Coast also offers visitors and locals alike some exciting activities.

A few that come to mind include sea and river fishing, seeing the beautifully colourful flowers in the Darling area, scenic drives and walks to West Coast destinations such as Yzerfontein, Langebaan and Saldanha, horseback beach-rides, and much more.

The Berg River Canoe Marathon ends only a few hundred meters from your Port Owen accommodation.

What’s more, with prior arrangement you can even dock your yacht right in front of the house!
