Venture 40km west to Velddrif and Port Owen for seaside bliss and endless pristine beaches. Piketberg, 35km east, offers basic amenities and leads to scenic drives up Versfeld Pass to the fruit and protea-growing areas atop Piketberg mountain.
Don’t miss the vibrant spring flower display in Aurora or the renowned surf and crayfish of Elands Bay, just 80km northwest. Nearby Verlorenvlei, a Ramsar site, is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 200 species.
