Right from its inception, Org de Rac’s pursuit of organic farming stemmed from the fundamental belief that the highest quality and healthiest grapes yield the most exceptional wines. To ensure that the grapes exhibit the distinct characteristics of each variety, creating an environment that closely emulates nature became the cornerstone of our approach to vineyard cultivation, promoting the cultivation of premium quality grapes for the production of our esteemed wines.

Organic farming involves the implementation of traditional agricultural methods akin to those utilized by farmers over centuries and generations before the landscape was altered by the introduction of synthetic fertilizers and harmful pesticides. Org de Rac remains steadfast in its commitment to refrain from using artificial fertilizers and laboratory-composed pesticides, thereby safeguarding the integrity of its soils and vineyards.

The utilization of natural compost, sea-bird manure, and crop-covers enriches our soils, fostering a natural ecosystem for vineyards to thrive and ensuring the optimal health of roots, scions, shoots, leaves, and grapes. To combat detrimental pests and disease-carrying bugs, we introduce natural predators like wasps into the vineyards, effectively controlling the population of unwanted insects.

Consequently, our vineyards are cultivated in symbiosis with nature. Employing a minimal-intervention strategy to preserve soil health and uncompromised purity, the vines maintain robust profiles, resulting in the production of superior quality grapes that serve as the foundation for crafting our exquisite wines.
